- We will use information you entrust to us to develop new features and to improve the overall quality of Intuit's products and services.
When you Purchase a Product or Apply for a Service:
- When you purchase a product or service, we need to get some basic information from you such as your name, phone number, physical address, email address and company name in order to process your order and get the product or service to you. When purchasing a financial service such as payroll or payment processing, we may need additional financial information such as your social security number, Federal Employer Identification number or bank account number to process the application. We use this information to verify your identity and credit worthiness. We use personal and financial information you have provided to us to determine your eligibility for this and other services.
- To make it easier to apply for services, we will try to pre-fill as much information as we can. If you are in QuickBooks this information can come from your company file. You will be able to update or change any pre-filled information.
Products connecting to the Web
- Some Intuit financial software products are Web-enabled. You can access some of our services from within our desktop products and others directly at a Web site. Some desktop features require Internet access and will open in a browser window in the software, which will pass through an Intuit server before being redirected onto the Internet. When you access a Web-enabled service (such as Help) from within our desktop products we will note the link you clicked on and we may also collect information about your product, system or other technical data that will help us direct you to the appropriate information or service.
- You can synchronize your QuickBooks data with Intuit so that it is available for other services you have chosen. Canceling your service may not automatically cancel synchronization. The synchronization remains on so that it is available to other services
Payment Processing: When we process payments on your behalf we are in compliance with the Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standards and the National Automated Clearing House (NACHA) regulations. Check payment transactions are verified against, and are added to, National Check Network's check verification and credit reporting database. Your customers' cardholder and check data, including account numbers, financial institutions, expiration dates, transaction amounts and service codes, may be stored and retained to provide the product and service that you have requested.

When the application is developed by a third party, that third party will be identified and the third party's privacy policy will apply. When applications are developed by Intuit, this privacy policy applies.

QuickBase
Your QuickBase service is billed to an account. QuickBase recognizes the account in which your data lives as the owner of your data. The account is responsible for payment and can transfer ownership of your data. Account owners and administrators should keep in mind that if they grant another individual full administrative rights to their account, that person will have access to the account's billing information.
QuickBase billing accounts allow access and control over database information dependent upon the roles assigned to specific members of the account A billing account administrator can delete your application without your permission. However, the billing account administrator will not have privileges to view or alter the data unless you grant such access. QuickBase users in the same e-mail domain will be able to see each other's e-mail addresses in addition to their QuickBase screen names. This increases your ability to correctly identify a QuickBase user within your company, which is helpful when granting access permissions. Billing account administrators can also deny any user access to the entire account. If an account owns the e-mail address tied to a user account, a billing account administrator can completely deactivate that user's QuickBase account. Please exercise caution when assigning billing account administration rights.
Any content you place in a QuickBase database will not be publicly available unless you voluntarily choose to give permission to other QuickBase users, to QuickBase groups, or to the general public for that database. Intuit will not view, use, or distribute the content of any of your databases without your prior permission or the express permission of the database owner, except as stated under "Legal Disclosures."
You have control over who has access to the data in your databases. When you first create a database, only you have access. At your discretion, you may choose to allow others access to your database. You decide who gets access and at what level (view, modify and/or create).
