What to do if you have already downloaded something from a link in a phishing email:

1.    Delete anything you may have downloaded.

2.    Scan your system using an up-to-date anti-virus program from a respected security vendor, such as McAfee Anti-Virus, Norton by Symantec or Microsoft Windows Defender, to remove any viruses or other malware that may infect your computer.  Some of these vendors also offer free online security tools. Some malware will require stronger measures to remove from your system.  You may want to seek help from a trusted IT consultant or a systems repair firm.

3.       Change your password(s)- particularly those involving financial information - to prevent unauthorized users from logging into your accounts.
